  1. My goodness, if she doesn’t have one of the most enchanting smiles in the history of humankind. Her face doesn’t just brighten up, the entire photo does!

  2. Delirium-Zer0, you got that right. I long wondered why her smile, even if it’s just a small one, is so radiant. I got my answer when I read her reply to a question from a reporter. When asked why she doesn’t smile more, she came back with a question that went something like, Why should I smile when I don’t feel like it? This is such an honest answer, and I think everyone who hears it begins to understand how special Faye is. She’s genuine. Her very close friends and colleagues have also said the same thing — the Faye that we see on stage and in appearances is the same person behind the scenes. She doesn’t fake it for the camera or the public. Some interpret this as coldness, but they’re wrong. They’re just not accustomed to a megastar who’s honest about her feelings. What this means, though, is that when she does smile, it’s for real, coming from her heart, and that’s why it glows and lights up the scene.

  3. EXACTLY. There’s nothing like a genuine smile. When Faye smiles, you know she means it. Because it really just does illuminate everything around her – seeing her smile is a real spirit-lifter. ^_^

  4. I like that, “spirit-lifter”! I think that’s what draws me to her. Her genuine talent, music, style, beauty, philosophy, character — the way she lets her actions speak for her rather than endless streams of meaningless words — lift my spirits. I never tire of her songs. Every listen is like a new experience, And they always lift me to a higher place that’s filled with peace and beauty.
