Kim, this is a terrific list of rare songs! If anyone has copies to share with Faye Wong Today, the following method would work:

First, upload them to one of the following: (1) a free host site, (2) YouTube as audio-only videos, or (3) a webpage or blog.

Next, post the URL in a comment to this message or to the “Fayve Songs” page (click on the tab at the top of the page).

I’ll post the songs as MP3s and cite the persons providing them.

Check that folder there, I have a bunch of the tracks listed above (sorry for the strangely-translated titles). – as of my comment, it’s still uploading, so keep checking back until they’re all uploaded.

I’m missing the Dou Wei tracks and “Awaken from a Dream”, but the rest of them should all be in there.

  2. Delirium-Zer0 – thank you very much for sharing! These MP3s are fabulous — true stereo, excellent quality. This is like having Christmas all over again in March! I posted them into the article.

  3. I know that Shooting Star (Latin Mix) is my own rip from Faye Not For Sale. As for the rest, I wish I could remember where I got them so I could give proper credit!

I suppose a big thank you just needs to go out to all the Fayenatics who’ve shared these mp3s over the years. :)

  4. I totally forgot about Serpentskirt, I love that song!
I wonder how Faye and CT came to work together?
If only Faye came out with another “Restless” album, that would bring a tear to my eye (of joy)!

Oh I just thought of a Rare Song that should be posted. In her 98-99 HK Concert, on Christmas and maybe Xmas Eve too, Faye sang a couple of english songs, one was definitely Last Christmas by Wham. Can we find a recording of this??

  5. With the addition of “Awake from a Dream (Acoustic Version)” on March 2 and ”Outside the Window” and “Spring Shall Return” on March 21, I believe we have all the rare songs Kim mentions. “Outside” is a beautiful song, and you can hear Faye vaguely at the 02:30 mark and very clearly at the 03:17 mark. I don’t hear Faye in the second song, “Spring Shall Return.” I suppose she’s in the chorus, but her voice isn’t audible — at least to me.

  6. oh my gosh…. im totally over the moon! thanks so much. i wish I have rare songs to share too.

  7. Comet” (Latin Mix) was on Faye’s Compilation album “Not For Sale”.
