Faye’s 1998 Music Special – Part 2

This is the second of the five segments that make up Faye Wong’s (王菲) 1998 Music Special. Click on the video below to watch it. As in the first, we get a wide range of different looks of the star, who has to be a photographer’s dream. All five segments were  uploaded to YouTube by FallinApple a year ago. This portion is approximately 9 minutes long. All the stills below are from this segment.

In this series, we’re treated to a candid insider’s or behind-the-scenes view of Faye, and we see her letting her hair down and just being herself. From these videos, we begin to understand why those who have had an opportunity to work with Faye end up loving her and become ferociously loyal. All of them have nothing but nice things to say about her.

See part 1 and parts 3-5.

She’s down to earth and doesn’t put on airs. She treats everyone the same way — with respect. And what’s really interesting is the comment they all make that Faye is genuine and completely natural, that the Faye onstage is no different from the Faye they’ve come to know. She’s fun to work with, but she’s also a perfectionist who sets a demanding pace for herself and those around her.
